A Beginning And An End

This wedding was extra special to us as we photographed the beginning of Hayley & Kyle as a married couple, we were honoring an ending.

The photographers for this wedding were Marcy and Abby. Abby has been with me since DAY ONE. I would even argue that C.Mae started because of Abby.

Over 11 years ago, Abby’s family was the first photoshoot I ever did with a DSLR camera. When I posted the photos from their family shoot, things snowballed from there.

I booked in more family photo shoots and even got asked to shoot my first wedding. It was Abby by my side, calming my nerves as I entered this new territory. It was Abby and myself photographing weddings starting in 2012 by each other’s side on the weekends.

As the company grew and I hired more and more people to help, Abby was always our model for our 2nd shooters.

This year, Abby took on a new role within her musical career which led to this being the last wedding she photographed with C.Mae. As soon as the wedding ended, Marcy and Abby burst into tears.

We are cheering Abby on in her new role in her new position at Catholic Central. We are also grieving her absence by our side, calming our nerves, and being a champion for our clients and their wedding days.

Our team is stacked with amazing people, kind hears, talented artists, and creators. Abby was one of those people and for everyone who gets to be near her talents moving forward, you are receiving a gift.
